Why did you choose a destination wedding?
I had been a bridesmaid several times by the time I got engaged, and those experiences helped me to know right away that I did not want the stress of a traditional wedding. We both love traveling being on the beach, so it seemed natural to have our wedding on one!

How many attendees did you have? 
What kind of experience did you envision your guests having?
We had 65 people total travel with us to Jamaica! I envisioned a weekend full of fun and relaxation, and that’s exactly what we had. My guests came from all over the country, most of which had never met each other, and everyone passed the vibe check!

What was one part of planning your wedding that you knew you couldn't have done alone? How did having a Destination Wedding Specialist help with that?
I could not have negotiated the room block at the resort and help all my guests plan their travel. Will and Nikki helped me tremendously with this. Our resort rates were extremely affordable and I did not have to stress about my guests getting their reservations made.

What piece of advice would you give to couples who are just starting the planning process?
Hire the planner! Save yourself the stress of trying to figure it out and hire an expert to make it easier.

What’s one “extra” you’re super glad you splurged on?  What surprised you the most about your wedding?
I’m so happy I researched and hired Outside vendors for my photography, videography, and make-up. They all helped capture the most beautiful moments that I will cherish forever. I was surprised by how fast it went by. I recommend brides savor every moment and be present.

If you could choose three words to describe your wedding, what would they be?
Beautiful, magical, turn-up!

What is your favorite memory from your big day?
My favorite memory is walking down the aisle with both my dad and step-dad. It was the absolute most special moment and I will forever cherish it.
